Summer season in Pakistan
Summer 2021
has already been started since April. But actual summer is started from the
last two weeks or so. Summer is considered to be the longest season of all in
Pakistan. In Pakistan started from April and continue till September. But June,
July and august are considered to be the hottest month. Summers are the hottest
season of the year. Average temperature ranges 30 to 50 during summers. In some
areas it may exceed 50. From past few weeks weather is extremely hot. So I
thought why not share with people how summers be like in Pakistan. Because as
the season changes, so does our way of life.
In this post
I am gonna be sharing how do we spend summers, how the choices of food changes,
what are the likes and dislikes about this season? If we take opinion from
common people I am sure majority of the people doesn’t like summer season. But
I think every season has its own pros and cons. We should thank Allah that we
are blessed with four seasons because we get tired of the uniformity.
So,
let’s start.
As
summer started first thing we all do is to update our wardrobe. It means we
replace winter clothes with summer clothes. Because summer clothes are
different from those we wear in winters. We can’t wear same cloth in all
seasons. In summers we prefer light material like lawn. Also light colors are
also preferred in summers. Because dark colors absorb heat. When we used to
study this in our books that light colors are preferred during summer I don’t
understand why?? But now I realized this fact because I also don’t like to wear
dark colors during summers. I don’t even look at them.
It
is said that in summers days are long and nights are short. It is because sun
rises early and sun sets late. So if we live our life according to nature, we
have really long day to work. Also we
feel more energy to work in summers as compared to winter. May be because days are long and we need some
work to pass the time.
In summer
household work are also completed early in the morning because at that time it
is not extremely hot. Also we have more energy in the morning.
Next there comes food because our food choices also changes. We usually add more juices and drinks to our diet. Mangos shake, butter milk, Lemonade, Watermelon juice, sugarcane juice, coconut water and a lot more. These drinks are meant to reduce our inner heat and to refresh us. And I think that’s the best thing about summers that we add these natural and fruity juices in our diet. These drinks are beneficial for our health and skin.
Summer fruits and vegetables
If we talk about summer vegetables in Pakistan. They include Green and Red chili, Lady finger, Capsicum, Cabbage, Turnip, Green and French beans, Carrot, Cauliflower, Garlic , Bitter ground, Artichoke, Squash, Brinjal and Onion.
Summer vacation
Who can forget summer vacations? Summer vacations are the most joyful period of this season. In Pakistan schools and colleges are closed for almost two months. So that children can have breaks from their study. And this is the time when children can enjoy summers. And first thing after summer vacation I think that every family do is to visit their native places. Also even it is extremely hot yet people plan for the trips and picnic during summer vacation.
Picnic /Outing
But those who can’t afford plan picnic to nearby places like water dam, rivers, oceans, lakes and sea because such places refreshes our mind and soul. I still remember my visit to there. We used to get out early and spend the entire day there enjoying the cool water. Also we carry our food with us. That was just amazing. There should be some outing in our life. It refreshes your mind and body. It also relieves stress. You will feel more energy after spending some time out in nature. Family outing also enhance the family bonding. We should mange some time from our busy life for such family outing.
Load shedding
One of the biggest problems of summers is load shedding. Every city of Pakistan experiences this. Load shedding is not a new problem. We are experiencing this since childhood. But at that time we used to enjoy. Specifically At night when lights get off we used to sit on the roofs with family without any technology. We used to talk or play different games. And the natural wind, watching at the moon and stars at the sky dreaming about the future.
Those were beautiful days. But now we are more dependent on technology. And the more closer we are to the technology, the farther we are going from the nature. This is the reason of depression and uneasiness.
Sweating
Another problem of summers is sweating. It is normal to sweat because it is extremely hot. We definitely don’t like to sweat.
But when we sweat good things happen to our body. Circulation increases throughout our organs, muscles, and tissue. Our skin releases toxins such as alcohol and waste products, which helps our body detoxify. The elimination of salt from the body can help prevent kidney stones from forming. Prolonged sweating also leads to increased thirst and the need to drink more water. The pores on our skin open up and allow for a protective barrier to form against pathogens, thus reducing bacteria on the skin. This can benefit many skin problems such as acne.
But sensitive skin people like mine may experience irritation, redness, itchiness. So I keep washing my face with cold water and use minimum products for daily skin care. Also you don’t need lots of skincare product skincare product in summers. Our skin automatically glows in summers because of water consumptions.
Here I want to mention one thing is that, seasons are becoming more extreme because of deforestation. So make your contribution to save nature and grew plants.
